Guided by Justice: Our Origins
International Justice Counsel is a non-profit, public interest, strategic litigation firm founded by International Law practitioners trained at leading global law firms and renowned human rights institutions. Our advocates are passionate about applying their expertise to help advance human rights, accountability, and access to justice.
Vision Statement
We envision a world in which justice is not selective, power is held accountable, and international law serves as a meaningful tool for protecting human dignity, advancing equality, and transforming the structures that enable abuse and impunity.
Methodology for Global Systemic Reform
Our understanding of justice is informed by critical legal thinking and an intersectional awareness of how law operates within wider structures of power and inequality. Litigation strategies are developed in close partnership with our clients, ensuring that their experiences and priorities guide the pursuit of accountability.
Through strategic litigation, we seek to bridge the gap between abstract legal guarantees and the lived realities of those most affected by injustice. This work spans international, regional, and domestic litigation, alongside legal advocacy.
